There are a couple of reasons for this and quite a few things we can do to feel better.
The reason older people often feel stiff in the morning is due to a natural part of the aging process. Their muscles and bones aren’t as stable as they once were. This is mainly due to fascia. This is the glue that connects every part of the body together. Fascia binds specific cells into tissues, tissues into organs, and organs into systems.
It cements all internal structures into place and envelopes the entire body. Its main role is to keep your body strong and healthy by allowing you freedom of movement. When you were younger, the fascia was pliable and flexible. Once you reach the age of 35, you will feel your body start to lose its elasticity.
You’ll know when this happens because you feel tautness in places you’ve never expected. This is the reason why it is ometiems a bit hard to bend over to tie your shoes or put your socks on in the morning. As you continue moving into your second 50 years, you might find that the aches and pains get a bit worse.
Once you give in to the pain and contort your body just to make it feel better, you will find yourself permanently settling into this awkward position.
